UP Cabatuananon Partners with notjustatree for UPV Fair

A community’s boundaries may define its space, but never the limits of its pursuit of purpose. Beyond familiar grounds, hearts find meaning in service, hands create change, and a shared mission echoes far into the lives it touches.

UP Cabatuananon, a hometown organization of the University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV), carries a spirit of service by fostering a sense of community among Cabatuananons and bringing the heart of the town into the wider university community.

On October 26-27, 2026, the organization will take part in the UPV Org Fair at the Miag-ao Campus in Iloilo, Philippines, bringing a piece of home to the university through its delicacies, an introduction of Cabatuan’s culture, collective effort of its people, and activities that rekindle the Cabatuananons’ spirit of unity.

During the event, UP Cabatuananon will launch an Income-Generating Project (IGP) to support an upcoming community outreach program in Cabatuan, in partnership with notjustatree.com. Through this initiative, the organization aims to provide children with essential school and learning resources while promoting environmental sustainability and a greener future.

More than a space for showcasing products, the booth will serve as a platform for purposeful fundraising toward community development. Together, may this initiative pave the way for opportunities that reach beyond the fairgrounds and help shape the future of those who we seek to uplift.
